4) How we handle notices
- Verification: We review the notice for completeness and clarity. If information is missing, we may request additional details.
- Locate and act: If we can identify the allegedly infringing material hosted on our systems, we will remove or disable access to it expeditiously.
- Notify uploader (if applicable): Where we have contact details, we will forward the notice or a summary to the user who uploaded the material.
- Recordkeeping: We keep a record of notices/counter‑notices as part of our repeat infringer policy.
- Third‑party hosting: If the material is hosted by a third party or linked externally, we may forward your notice to the appropriate provider.
- Timeframe: We aim to respond within 1–3 business days.
5) Counter‑notice (17 U.S.C. § 512(g))
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter‑notice containing:
- Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal (URL).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any district where we may be found if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter‑notice template:
After receiving a valid counter‑notice, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that a court action has been filed seeking to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity.
6) Repeat infringer policy
We may suspend or terminate access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers. If account features are introduced, accounts with repeated, valid notices may be limited or closed. We also reserve the right to block IPs or take other reasonable measures to prevent abuse.
7) Scope & limitations (about our PDF tools)
